Pauline Turton – Founder

Pauline’s teaching experience and extensive work in the field of psychiatry prompted her to research the brain’s restorative capabilities. Pauline is the mother of two sons who have overcome significant learning disabilities. After years of research, she built Breakthroughs in Learning to provide hope and help through educational therapy.

Over the last 18 years Pauline has helped thousands of children and families. As a Conference Speaker and Workshop Leader, Pauline continues to share the wealth of knowledge she has gained during her journey.

Matthew Turton – Vice President

As a child who struggled to overcome learning disabilities himself, Matthew Turton always knew he wanted to help others learn that just because they struggled, it didn’t mean they were dumb.

Now an Educational Therapist, and Vice President of Breakthroughs in Learning, he has logged over 20,000 hours working with children and adults with learning disabilities. He shares his experiences from both sides of learning disabilities and gives hope to parents, children and adults who are faced with challenges they feel they may never conquer.

As a Conference Speaker and Workshop Leader, Matthew continues to inspire teachers and parents while sharing the wealth of knowledge he has gained during his journey.

Reading Disabilities: The Missing Link

The number one cause of reading difficulties often hides behind confusing symptoms and frequently continues into adulthood. It’s difficult to detect, often misdiagnosed and many times the child doesn’t even know there’s a problem. Poor Eye Tracking leads to slow reading, skipping words, reversing letters, avoiding reading, poor coordination and more. Come and discover with Matthew Turton, Vice President of Breakthroughs in Learning, how to identify and improve eye tracking in your classroom or living room.
